TPAC Wrap, and Orchid Award Winners

As TPAC2019 at Niagara Falls comes to a close we congratulate the winners of our 2019 Orchid Business Partner awards.

TPAC is, without doubt, the premier annual event in the world for Sage 300 Development Partners to show their wares. As I type the 2019 edition, held at Niagara Falls, is wrapping up.

Orchid has supported TPAC from its inception and this year’s event was no exception. Steve and Anne attended for the 17th successive year, and have been busy training and talking, meeting and mingling.

At this year’s breakout sessions, we chose to focus on the following:

  • Extender ‘Deep Dive’: This included a ‘teaser’ demonstration of our new Extender Workflow capability, planned for release at the end of May. You’ll be hearing a lot more about this in the upcoming weeks, including at a webinar planned for 22-May.
  • New Features in Orchid modules: There was a lot to cover here, but a highlight (in addition to Extender Workflow) was our Freight SmartLink product, which we are promoting in North America for the first time.

As is the tradition, we also chose TPAC as the venue to present our annual North American Business Partner awards. For the first time, the ‘trophies’ were actually framed panoramas of Sydney Harbour by Jim Guthrie. And the winners were…

Business Partner of the Year: BAASS Business Solutions

BAASS have made this sales-based award their own in recent years. In fact, this was the 8th successive year they have won it! Thanks again to all at BAASS for their continuing support of Orchid products.

Partner Excellence Award: Stonefield Systems Group

This award recognizes a partner based on criteria that go beyond raw sales. When we put the call out for nominations Stonefield was at or near the top of everyone’s list. We have been especially appreciative of their support for our new products, and their self-sufficiency and pro-activity when it comes to learning about our offerings and supporting their clients.

Much has changed since we attended Sage Customer Boot Camp in 2006, but much has stayed the same - like the contribution a dedicated Account Manager can make to both customer satisfaction and profitability. ​​​​​​​
