Emma’s Postcard from TPAC Asia in Vietnam

Emma says “xin chào” (hello) from Saigon (Ho Chin Minh City), the vibrant host city of TPAC Asia 2025.

The recent TPAC conference was an unforgettable journey in a country brimming with stunning beaches, incredible seafood, the buzz of countless motorbikes, and warm, welcoming people.

TPAC Asia was a multicultural convergence of business partners and developers, with a focus on collaboration and innovation.

Getting down to (Team)Work

A significant portion of Orchid’s agenda was dedicated to strengthening people’s knowledge and understanding of TeamWork for Sage 300, Orchid’s new collaboration tool, jointly created with AutoSimply.

It was fantastic to collaborate directly with the AutoSimply team, running an all-day training session, the day before the start of the conference, exploring how we can use TeamWork. This training was more than theoretical; we walked through practical, day-to-day scenarios, highlighting how seamless collaboration and approvals can elevate the efficiency of Sage 300 and its users.

The Panel Show

An engaging aspect of TPAC Asia was the series of insightful panel discussions:

  • We had some thought-provoking conversations about the trajectory of AI in Sage’s ecosystem.
  • A recurring theme that resonated deeply was the critical importance of up-to-date data. The accuracy and immediacy of our information are very important for effective decision-making.
  • This naturally led to discussions on continuous decision-making and reinforced the significance of Continuous Accounting principles to ensure financial insights are always current.
  • Another panel talk featured ISVs sharing their perspectives on the transformative power of automation.
  • It also reinforced the importance of rigorous testing as an essential aspect of the software development cycle.

These approaches will ensure that Sage 300 remains at the cutting edge of business solutions, ready to embrace the innovations of tomorrow.

Awarding & Rewarding

A highlight of each TPAC, the Awards Night function sees business partners and ISVs enjoying each other’s company while giving and getting recognition for all their work over the past year. Orchid had the opportunity to present their own Asian Partner award:

Congratulations to Data World Solutions for their outstanding results supporting Orchid’s products over the last year.

In & Around Saigon

Of course, it wasn't all training sessions and presentations!

We believe that strong teams are built not only in meeting rooms, but also through shared experiences and cultural immersion.

Our team-building activities were spectacular:

  • We embarked on an incredible food tour, tasting the diverse and exquisite flavours of Vietnamese cuisine, from fragrant banh mi to delicate steamed rice rolls. Every bite was an adventure!
  • We also delved into history with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, offering a glimpse into a difficult episode of Vietnam's past.
  • And to cap it all off, we enjoyed a serene river delta tour, cruising along tranquil waters and witnessing the vibrant life along the Mekong.
