Welcome Emma

Orchid Welcomes Emma!

A big welcome to Emma Fouche, the newest member of the Orchid team.

Emma’s role will focus on Customer Experience.

If you notice our customer documentation, webinars, and other content starting to look sharper and clearer, you can thank her.

It’s a rare occasion when Orchid welcomes a new team member. In fact, this is only the 2nd time it has happened in the past 8 years. Perhaps even more remarkable is that we haven’t said goodbye to any team members during that period.

More about Emma

In early 2021 it was “Welcome back Sheena”, and it’s really a welcome back to Emma, too. She’s been close to the Orchid family for as long as she cares to remember and has contributed previously as a freelance designer. Emma has been responsible for many of the quirky graphic elements that give our website its personality, including this example from the Orca Oz Chronicles series.

While moonlighting with Orchid, Emma was studying at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Design in Animation and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation.

After graduating, Emma spent a few years doing User Experience research work, followed by a role as Integration Test Lead on a major IT project with the New South Wales Police Force.

With experience ranging from animation to police work, we’re expecting Emma to both help us look good, and help keep us honest.

You can find out more about Emma (and the rest of the Orchid team) at the bottom or our About Us page.
